Embalming is not allowed for natural burials
Keeping the deceased cool is important to ensure that they can stay at home for as long as possible. We use a system called a CoverCool blanket.
The CoverCool blanket allows the deceased to stay in their own bed or in the casket with a cooling cover ensuring that they are always kept cool.
The mobile CoverCool blanket cools the body without the need for traditional purpose built refrigeration or cold rooms. Furthermore, unlike refrigerated beds or coffin coolers it is extremely light, portable, flexible and does not ice.
Unlike mortuary refrigerators, the CoverCool blanket is only switched on when required.
The other option is that the person is placed into refrigeration which we can organise for you.
